Spigot Sentry is a weather application for Android. This policy describes what data the app accesses, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.
Spigot Sentry requests access to your device's location (both precise and approximate) solely to retrieve local weather forecasts and conditions. Specifically:
Spigot Sentry requests permission to send push notifications in order to deliver weather alerts (e.g., low temperature warnings). Notifications are generated on-device from weather data already fetched and are not used to collect any personal information.
The app may use Google Play Console's built-in analytics, including Android Vitals and crash reporting. This data is collected automatically by the Android platform and Google Play Services and is used exclusively for debugging and improving app stability. It is not used for advertising or behavioral tracking.
Data collected may include: crash traces, ANR (app not responding) reports, device model and OS version, and aggregate performance metrics. This data is associated with your Google account as governed by Google's privacy policy, not by Spigot Sentry directly.
The app requires internet access to contact the OpenWeatherMap API and, if enabled, to transmit crash and diagnostic data to Google Play Console.
